See it for Fonda and Voight. It can be a little depressing with not much levity.
Seems to get overshadowed by The Deer Hunter a lot, and while it isn’t nearly as good, it’s a really good movie with powerhouse performances
Moving film dealing with the human cost of Vietnam. Love the use of Out of Time by the Rolling Stones! The unscripted opening sets the tone.
Complex characters are representative of a complex time.Ashby utilizes shots, music, and a moving love story to encapsulate a painful moment
